Hi,

I had this dream that my ex was getting married to his present girlfriend and standing at the alter he spots me and we run off together the my dream goes on to me and her in this working site and trying to beat each other up with planks of wood . my dream then is me and him sitting on the streets drinking with strangers  I’m laughing and joking but he is sitting talking to a shrink . I then ask him to go for a walk and we plead unconditional love for each other. Please help me understand this dream.

When your ex was talking to the shrink and you were laughing and joking, it’s as though you were avoiding thinking about the issue that needs addressing and examining further in your life. In this dream he was mirroring you so that you could see what needed to be done to reconcile things within your head. In particular when you were fighting with wood, which symbolises feeling ‘wooden’ inside or dead inside, and in your dream it’s almost that you were trying to get rid of that part of you. You were almost trying to destroy it rather than face it. Then with your ex talking to the shrink he was showing you that you can’t ignore it, it’s something that you need to face right now.
