Dear Psychic,

I went to college for four years where I studied Accountancy and qualified with second class honours.  When I finished I thought that I would not be able for accountancy as I have poor eyesight. I have been working as a secretary in a solicitor’s office for the last year however this is extremely boring and I have no interest in the work although the people I work with are lovely.  I think about changing careers almost everyday but I'm really scared that accountancy is not the road I should take either all though I miss working with figures.  I had a job interview as a trainee accountant before exams and I decided not to go now I feel like I could have made a big mistake.  Being a Trainee Accountant is a big commitment.  It takes 3 years and I'm afraid that if I do take this road that I won’t be smart enough to get the exams which are very expensive to sit in the first place and money wouldn't be that plentiful.

Since I can remember I have only ever wanted to do two things either become an Accountant or have a job where I am working with kids.

Could you tell me what you see in my future career wise is it working as an accountant or working with kids or neither is my destiny to stay working as a secretary.

Dear Friend, 

Hi there! This is a very important decision that you are making here. The question of do I stay in a job where I’m miserable or I will I follow my dreams, be happy, and take a chance, not knowing the outcome?

From my experience, and from what my Angels are constantly telling me & are right now telling you! Always, always, always, and I can’t ever emphasise this enough, go with what inspires you and makes you feel happy! Follow your dreams! The career you wish to have isn’t something that is impractical. It’s something that will serve you well and bring you so much joy. When you follow, or rather, live your dreams, you love what you do. And when you love what you do, you are successful. When you are successful you are happy, and when you are happy, the people around you are happy too! So everyone wins!

Take a moment to stop thinking about all the ‘why I should not’s’, all the negative scenarios, and start thinking about the ‘why I should’s, and what could go right if you did this. Think about how it would feel if you were to go and do the job you have been dreaming of since you were a child. When you stop focusing on all the doubts and feelings of insecurities, and other peoples worries that they have no doubt projected onto you, you discover that you feel more inspired and more able to do what it is you love. You will love life again, it will be exciting for you.

I’m sure that there are programs out there to help people who’s eyesight isn’t the best and I feel that if you are able to be a secretary you will be able to be an accountant. As the saying goes, ‘if there’s a will there’s a way.’

Say to yourself, out loud, to yourself, what you said to me here in your letter about the jobs. Can you feel the drop in your energy as you talk about working as a secretary for the rest of your life? Your energy level, your vibration feels so weighed down as you talk about it. It’s like you are trying to swim through mud! To me it feels as though when you wrote that, your shoulders slumped and you just gave up all hope.

Put aside all your doubts for a moment, or as some people put it, suspend all disblief. Now say out loud ‘I’m working with children’ or ‘I’m working as an accountant’. How does that feel? It feels great doesn’t it! Can you feel how the energy within you raises as you say it or think it?

The opportunity to do the trainee accountant position hasn’t passed. Yes it’s a big commitment, but if you feel it’s what you want to do, it’s only 3 years of your life. 3 years of doing something that you love to do. When you put it that way it doesn’t feel long at all, it feels almost too short! Think of it this way, you will be doing what you love rather than sitting in an office everyday, doing something you dislike, feeling bored out of your mind and wishing you were anywhere else but there. Why live like that when you can live your dream?

The other thing I feel guided to ask you, is; Have you ever considered helping out at your local church creche for a day on the weekend or something similar? Something you can do while you’re not at work so it won’t impact on your income, but will give you the hands on experience working with children. Perhaps you’ve done it before? But by gaining the practical experience it will give you a chance to see if this is something you really want to do, but without taking the risk and just diving into it.

What I’m trying to say to you here, is to have a think about what it is youwant to do in your life. It’s your life, your destiny, and while right now while you’re indecisive about what to do, know that it’s always your choice, you can do whatever it is you want, the universe makes no judgements, but will go along with whatever it is you decide to do.

That said, I’ve drawn some cards for you for guidance to help you in your choice.  The cards that have shown up are very interesting. First off The Lovers card has shown up, this is saying here you have a choice and either choice will be a good one for you. This is between becoming an accountant or working with children. The Death card is sitting beside it. Now don’t be concerned, the death card is all about endings and new beginnings. In your case, letting go of something that is no longer working for you in your life and replacing it with something that fits you much better. So you will have to let go of the job as a secretary… I can hear you breathing a sigh of relief from here! But I also feel that you are concerned… asking well where do I go from here?

Well the Death card answers that question pretty clearly. In my deck, The Tarot of The White Cat, the figure of Death is standing next to a treasure chest full of money! Loads and loads of coins! Can you see where I’m going with this? Yes, to being an accountant.

The Ace of Cups was the next card drawn, showing you really enjoying this type of work and a new beginning, a happy new beginning for you. The King of Pentacles is also here and his message is two fold. Firstly the King of Pentacles, pentacles being all about money and the material aspects of life, is very good with money and can often represent someone who’s an accountant or works with money in a practical, sensible, down to earth way! But here he’s also giving you the message that this change to working as an accountant may not happen as quickly as you like. He has a snail next to him, showing things moving not quite as quickly as you would like them to, but moving all the same. The reason I see for this taking awhile is that you are going to be juggling this decision and tossing up your options for some time before you finally make up your mind exactly where and what you want to do.

The last card I drew for you is the 9 of wands, this is just saying that you aren’t really trusting your intuition and are a bit skeptical that you can actually do what it is you want to do.

Well I’m here to say to you, that YES YOU CAN do exactly what it is you want to do! If you follow your dreams you will not only inspire others by your example, but you will be so happy for doing so!

Please, do this for yourself. Talk to your Angels, your guides, whoever you pray to and work with, and ask them to help you with this journey and transition in your life. Ask them to help you make decisions that will help you not only be happy, but will make the change from your job as a secretary to achieving your dreams a smooth one. Because you deserve it. All you have to do is say, ‘Please help me with this’ and then follow your guidance. By this I mean  just let it go, and notice any signs you might get.

These signs may be words spoken by other people, people pointing things out to you that you may not have known about, such as an ad in the paper, or a recruitment agency who specialises in your field, you may hear a song over and over that really resonates with what you are wanting to do. You may see a sign, literally or figuratively, feel that you need to do something or go some place you may not have gone otherwise, or even just have an inner knowing of what you need to do. All these things, and this list is not exhaustive, are all ways of recognising signs from your helpers, Angels, Guides or whoever it is you work with.

I do feel that you will be happy walking this path, and that while you would enjoy working with the children, right now it’s not what you would be happiest doing. When I asked the cards, the question I asked was what would make you happiest and would be most successful in, and accountancy came out very strongly.

Trust in yourself, believe in yourself, don’t let others tell you that you can’t do this, because you can! Tell any naysayer’s you are going on a negativity diet, and that you are not listening to negativity about your plans right now, better yet, don’t tell them what you are doing, then surprise them when you succeed, without their imput!
